Single Shot at big game, even dangerous?
I voted "YES" with a couple of qualifications. And I've written the following without reading any of the others above this post!
If hunting alone for deer, moose, elk or the sheep etc. Yes.
If I was with buddies who were depending on me to make the "kill" above, then I would want one of them as a back up.
For dangerous stuff, e.g. grizzly, even a black bear, it would be prudent to have a buddy with 12 gauge pump or auto stuffed with slugs as a back up.
IMH-Old-O, shot placement is vital, much more important than being able to keep thowing lead.
