He bought the first batch of restricteds from Lever. Now he isn't allowed to even transfer the rifle due to the review of the classification.

No, I can't transfer it to anyone. The RCMP say that the "Legal classification is under review". Without going into too much detail, the easiest way to limit the sale of these rifles without the RCMP getting egg on their face is to stall all transfers. They have done the same with the Walther G22.

After all the Modern Warfare 2 I've been playing I've decided that I like it and think it would be cool. I'd be down if an importer brought them in and they were say $1500 but looks like the US pays North of $2500 for a hideous 16" barreled version.
