I am interested in buying a berreta 9mm. I am just wondering if anyone with one could tell me whether its a good buy. Accurate? Problems? that kinda stuff

Great handgun

It was my first handgun once I got my RPAL, wanted one for 20years and didn't regret buying it for a second. Used it for my black badge course without flaw. lots of them around too so it easy to get accessories for them. Accuracy wise they are fine. It is a solid gun easy to strip and clean too.

Bought a Beretta M9 slightly used on the EE. 3000 rounds later, still 100% reliable, very accurate, easy to clean and a blast to shoot. I considering another one for backup in IPSC.

Accuracy is very good, As for problems well there has been issus with locking lugs cracking "never seen it" But I have seen alot of decocking pawls in the frame break.
The safety I cant stand! but thats just me lol.

I personaly dont like them, but there are not as bad as some say.

But beening a Cert Beretta armourer I cant slag them to much ;)

+1

Same story with me. I liked it a lot. It ran into limitations during use for IPSC eventually, but does the job. Lot of people rip on it for no reason at the range too!, which is a bonus if you like to argue:)

Hmm...that lock block was designed to take away the stress of the barrel and slide and was recommend to replace after every five thousand rounds, I am sure many other Beretta user will have more information about this.

every 5000rds replace the locking piece, come on thats just silly. The 5000rd check on a SIG is replace the return spring only. I dont remember Beretta ever telling us we had to replace them every 5000rds. I even double checked my armourers manaul and no where does it say replace the locking block every 5000rds.

Nope my manual didn't mentioned either, but I remember I read this here, or may be the Beretta forum. Slavex should know more about Beretta design.

If its not in the "Beretta armourers book" then the factory does not recommend it. I think it was a bad batch of blocks only.
