Best Christmas ever! Wife bought me a brand new Colt from Arms East

Walt does very well from understanding wives. Mine bought me a Colt Combat Elite from Arms East for my 40th Bday. For Christmas she gave me a Mac laptop that I didn't want. She asked what I would rather have and I said another gun. So she said pick one out and it will be my Christmas present instead. Now comes the hard part, decisions, decisions....

That makes the two of us :) I just got a NIB Colt Series 70 stainless .45 to keep my blue model company...gotta love those Colt's

Rookie question here, but do your wives have their own RPAL? I can't figure out how a wife could buy you a pistol if she doesn't have her own license...beautiful firearms though gents!
 
How do you guys do it?

I even mention guns to my wife and she makes a face like I just sh__t the bed!:D

On the other hand, I never have to tell her when I've bought a new gun!:)

Having a wife that supports your hobby makes her worth her weight in gold!

Is this gun comparable to a STI Trojan or Ranger II in terms of accuracy? I am still hesitating between Colt and STI..

I've owned STI, Les Baer, and Kimber 1911's. My COLT SCG, I bought in November, is the best pistol I've owned, out of the box. In fact I like it so much I ordered a COLT Gold Cup Trophy to go with it.
