Here's the 1896 Krag Carbine out after Elk on the last weekend of season. Wouldn't you know it the herd came through the next day. Next year....
A bull left a nice rub on a pine though...

Here's two express rifles, a FAIR in 6.5X55, and a Tikka 412S in 9.3X74R.
Both sport quick detachable mounts, and both are wearing IOR4X scope with European reticles.
This is the Tikka
Note the seperated barrels, this gun has a jack screw to rgulate the bottom barrel to with the top.

here is the FAIR Safari.
This rifle has a solid centre rib, and was regulated at the factory for both barrels to impact slightly high at 50 meters.
Both are accurate at 200 meters.

consistent sub-MOA groups (albeit 3-shot) with cheap Czech Igman 150gr softpoints.
i believe the short (16.5") medium contour barrel helps accuracy.

and contrary to what Chuck Hawks has to say, there is no 'flamethrower-like muzzle blast' - much to my disappointment :(
