Why did you buy SKS rifle?

i heard they were junk... figured for the price i could weld it up and make a snazzy coat hanger with the bayo extended... turns out the red devil can actually shoot pretty decent... so its a bush beater untill i really really need that new coat hanger.

Good value. Practice is everything and at 19c's a shot you can't discount this rifles usefulness.
Embargo?
#@$k..probably.

Because I'm not allowed to own an AK.
Cheap rifle, cheap ammo, non-restricted, simple, works everytime.
Same reasons I like the ruger 10/22

Very Nice picture

Thank you

Versatile, cheap ammo and has that neat folding bayonet and the stripper clip loading method. Also a staple for those who like the older, wooden stocked battle rifles...

To piss off all the black rifle owners at my range when I can hit the gong 4 or 5 out of 5 times with my $200 rifle while they can barely do that with there tricked out ar's.
Derka! Derka!
:ar15:
P.S. I thought that an sks was manditory to own in Canada!?!

Very nice I can see a real SKS fan. Interesting to know that other get mad I never noticed.

P.S. I think it has to be mandatory to own one

That is how everyone thinks until they shoot one. Plus ammo is cheap.

Duh, Satain..... the shooter has a lot to do with hitting 200 meter gongs. Don't sell yourself short, buddy.

Having said that, most SKSs are accurate, minute-of-imperialist dog (I just had to borrow that phrase:D) accurate that is. Enough to keep most of us SKS believers happy.

I purchased one today to go shooting with a buddy of mine who also is purchasing an SKS. The price was very attractive for a firearm that was fresh out of the crate with most of the accessories. I also hear that surplus ammo in bulk crates is dirt cheap as well. There is also an interesting historical background on the SKS and that also sparked my interest.

Can't wait until I get it in the mail and clean it up.

I bought mine 54 Tula... because of all the upgrades available for it...
Plus reliability and cheap ammo really is a bonus... :)
