Here's one of my model 60 repeaters that I tuned and painted. Stock trigger pull was 5 1/2 lb and now breaks at just under 2 lb.
I drilled and tapped it for a Weaver #2 sidemount base.
The stock is reshaped at the grip and shortened 3/4".
I sanded and applied a good thick coat of epoxy primer to everything except moving parts, followed by my first attempt at snow camo. I couldn't bring myself to paint the scope since I use it on other rifles as well, but I'm thinking some sort of velcro on fabric sleeve may do the trick. The paint job looks really tacky close up, but it seems to do the trick. Look out 'yotes!!
