well i hope your ready to over 5,000 of them because Dan at Czech point usa said that is the bare min he will do paperwork for and at 41$ that is pricey you would have to sell those for 150 here to even make a profit

New production bolt carriers are on the way in Q1 of 2010. They will have a tab incorporated into the design and be ambi charge for easy use in any firing position. The prototype is working well we're just finalizing details on production.

Thats what we like to hear!!!

Any idea on a time frame when they will be available??

Thanks!

Any chance of seeing pics of the prototype? :D

Will do.

Of course you posted this info the very same day my VZ Lightning Bolt by Colorado Shooting Sports came in the mail! :bangHead:

I think I'll need one also. I've been pleased with all the Rauch VZ products for my 858 - and I'm sure this will be the same.:)

As much as I'm looking forward to Canadian-made tabbed bolt carriers, what paperwork/red tape would have to be done for a bolt carrier purchase? They are under the $100 exemption, and they aren't barrels, receiver, triggers, etc. Shouldn't it be relatively easy to buy one and bring it in, in theory?

Min orders are the issue when dealer over sea's. As for domestic made carriers my only concern would be installing a carrier in my gun from a company not carrying liability insurance...............
