Being that the optics on these rifles inevitably mount a little higher than the cheek rest allows for, what are you guys using for cheek risers/rests? I tried using the Eagle brand rest from my M14, but it looks like someone taped a black diaper to the back end of my beauty! yuck!

I just the adjustable height M4 stock adapter, sadly I'm still waiting on my first batch to come in for retail sale :D.

I did at one time make and adjustable one similar to the R33 unit for M14s but I don't think it worth while for production.

CAA 6-pos stock with ACP riser.

I am using the Rauch Tactical m4 stock adaptor, but I would prefer a setting between the two available. His new version will fix this with an additional two height options.

If you have the standard stock, try throwing a field dressing on with some green gun tape. Looks ugly but works.

Is there any way to put a cheek riser on the factory fixed stock (yes, I am not ashamed to admit I actually like the Beaver-barf fixed stock)? All the chhek riser options I've seen are either M4 stock adapter, folders, or custom wood carpentry. Is there a way to get a higher cheek weld without me bubba-ing my VZ with some duct taped contraption?

You could make one from Kydex. Thing is if you need the extra height then why not change the geometry and put the stock inline with the barrel? Better control, no cheek slap and you have a good cheek weld.

Maybe I'll go for the inline option, but it would be nice to have the option of something removable in order to go back to using the irons (the Beaver barf stock height is perfect for me as far as iron sight use goes).

Its really quite amazing how the rifle is transformed when the stock is inline and higher. The whole experience changes, get a quality red dot or scope on it with the inline stock and you'll never look back.

We have a wedge out that will let you make any VZ stock an inline stock with out having to go the AR stock route. It should be ready in early Feb.

If you are worried about going inline and losing your irons you can use this -

and install your own irons. They will be shipping to dealers next week.
