Thompson SMG

OK, all you Thompson fans, I am posting a picture of my two Thompsons, one is a 1927 A1 from Auto Ordnance Corp of West Hurley, New York that was manufactured for exportation to countries like Canada back when Chirst was only a cowboy, hence the "have to go outside to turn around extra long barrel" and manufactured in semi-auto ONLY. They will accept the 50 and 100 round drum if you are lucky enough to have, or own one. These 1927 A 1's are classed as prohibited, even though they NEVER were manufactured to fire full auto and can only be owned by guys with prohib status and don't get me going on that subject.
The second one is an original C/A Thomson M1 A1, also prohib and was once a full auto. It will NOT accept the drum mag. This one is awesome and no, neither of them are for sale. These M1 A1's were seen in the Saving Private Ryan movie.
If anyone is interested (but most of you are unfortunatley unable to own) you can check out the Auto Ordnance website, they sell lots of different Thompsons now-adays and the website is awesome. This site will make you drool.
Also there is a book called "the gun that made the twenties roar" by william J. Helmer that is awesome and is a great read for all you Thompson fans. Anyone interested in Tommies, should get this book.
As far as the Commando arms gun, I am sick of looking at it on this thread and wouldn't buy that thing for $100, and have heard from a reliable source that they are junk, and that's all I have to say about that, plus it's prohib anyway.
The dog would not move for the pictures and happy New Year and hope all you guys get your Thompsons.

being a young guy, those are legally too much fun for my meager restriced class. I did go to a friends place about a week ago and he had one to show off, i had never handled one before. What a kick to the balls I can never have one.

Saw one of those Numrich 27s fitted with an original length barrel. Looked a LOT better without the anteater effect.

Thompson Submachine gun

I discussed the issue of having to unload arriving ships immediately after they arrived, regardless of the hour. Well, . . . one of the crew members was trying to sell a Thompson sub-machine gun that he claimed he'd rescued from Normandy Beach during WWII. One of my fellow WOP'S bought it, along with a good deal of ammunition.

Since our diet was almost entirely salt pork and beef, we decided to hunt' wild ducks with the machine gun, hardly a sporting endeavour.

I think it was my turn to shoot when we arrived at one of the lakes where a flight of ducks was swimming. Anyway, I, or the person who was shooting, brought down a dozen or so ducks. Although we were not popular among the locals who thought we were unsporting people, they enjoyed our roast duck.

When we left Labrador, none of us wanted to know how the buyer planned to get the gun across the border into the United States. Luckily for him, as mission workers weren't inspected by Customs in the US. Once cleared *** (I think that was his name) asked me to take my duffel bag into the men's room, where he removed pieces of the weapon from my luggage. I assume the other pieces were in other peoples' duffles.

:D :D :D :D

- What they are talking about is working as volunteers in Labrador hospitals back in the post war era, they usually came from the USA & other places.

Klunk what happens to them when the said old farts die? Can they be passed on as an inheritance or will they need to be deactivated?

My picture contribution :)

and why is the AR 15 restricted and the Swiss Arms Black Special and RobArms XCR not?

Or the FN FAL prohibited and the Norinco M305 not even restricted (not that I'm complaining about the Norc)?

Because the powers to be did not see the Swiss Arms Black Special or RobArms in a movie, therefore, it is not dangerous....;)

If anyone has one near London, I would like them to PM me. I am NOT buying or selling one, I have need for one for a photographic project.
