First off let me start off by say Hi to everyone I'm new here I heard about this forum from the canadian airgun forum.I was wondering if anyone has used these bullet's before the one's I'm reffering to are sold in a box of 500 hundred, they 36 Grain are just a normal lead slug.I like to use the Federal or Blazer in the 22LR 500 bulk box's but everyone's been out of stock and does not have a clue when they will be getting more, the gunshop I deal with told me his sale's rep at Federal told him that because of the War there effort's are foucsed more on that rite now because they have bigger contract's for that rite now.I was wondering if anyone has shot the Winchester's I'm asking about I got 2 boxs of this stuff but have not had a chance to use it yet,I can say onething about it for sure I think they like to throw all there screw up's in the box with the good stuff so they do not have to get rid of it in one box I found 15 starter pistol rounds and 4 empty case's that were 22LR and 3 bullet's with dented case's and 2 with really messed up slug's,the other box had 2 starter pistol rounds and 3 empty case's 22 LR and 3 bullet's with dented case's,I have never seen this much crap in anyother bulk box ammo I have gotten in the past.I'm shooting these in my Savage Mark2 BV I fined it doe'nt seem to care what Ammo goes threw it even if I use a 32 to 38 Grain round I very rarely have to touch my scope to correct the Point of impact.Anyone have any thought's on these bullet's.

I have tried them and was quite pleased with the results. they hit hard when gopher shooting and group well on paper. there are good and bad in all the manufacturers ammo. they run so many different brands and weights that periodically they get a few mix in the box.

I will not use federal or remington .22 ammo as they are too dirty for the semis. But am very happy with the winchester 333 ammo. it goes thru all my guns without fail. Guess it is the copper coating on the lead.

Junk, don't stock up on them, they go bang but you can't hit much with them!

What kind of gun are you shooting them threw,I have 2 Savage Mark 2's and the one thing I find with them is they have shot everything I have put threw them extremely well,I find that the my Savage's are sort of like an Airgun but not really, what I mean by that is I have found if you get a poor shooting Airgun and use average quality pellets it will shoot poor or just above that and if you switch to a really great pellet like a JSB it will usualy make it shoot better not like a champ mind you but better, where as my Savage's seem to make even the cheap stuff shoot threw it like a champ.

I used them in a ruger 10/22 and they didn't want to feed properly, I think it was the large hollow point opening, maybe they changed them I haven't bought them for years but they didn't shoot good. I don't shoot targets just gophers and had much better luck with federal 325 and 525 packs. I use a 77/22 target now

I like the Federal 525 pack over the Remington's,I find the Rem's all had loose slug's and that really frosted my percker coming from a company with a name like that they shot just fine but I really beleive a company should put as much pride in there product as possible,I have also found the Blazer bulk packs to shoot great as well but the lead they use seems to make the barrel pretty dirty.

Winchester Xpert HV....I was wondering if anyone has used these bullet's before the one's I'm reffering to are sold in a box of 500 hundred, they 36 Grain are just a normal lead slug....Anyone have any thought's on these bullet's.

Good experience with this ammo, from Walmart. In my Marlin 981T and Savage MkIIF both with 3-9 x 32AO scopes, my worst case 50 meter group is 1 inch. Nothing to brag about.

No failures to fire and a couple of failure to eject in the Savage due to powder residue on the extractor claws is all.

My 10/22 likes these rounds, there not the best quality but there cheap and feed right for me. I just sort through them prior to shooting.

F I'm reffering to are sold in a box of 500 hundred, they 36 Grain are just a normal lead slug.I like to use the Federal or Blazer in the 22LR 500 bulk box's .

I mistakenly bought two bulk boxes of this ammo. I have tried it in my 10/22, ruger mk2 target and my weatherby mark xxii and I tell you it is garbage. I too was looking for the federal bulk pack at Walmart and they only had the winchester bulk pack.

Basically 20-30% of them are duds and when I tried to return them to Walmart they wouldn't accept them because it is against their policy (even unopened packs). I was shooting in near zero temps (3-5 Celsius) and i find it is temp related. If i warmed up the rounds in my hands for a few minutes the dud rate would drop to around 10-20%.

Anyway I hope no one else is having the same luck with this brand. Luckily I managed to pickup a brick of American Eagle and I have shot off at least 500 without a single dud in any of my guns.

Well I'll give you my experiance with them. First off let me start by addressing the guys with the autoloaders. My first 10/22 wouldn't eat anything correct, 100% of the time. Most of my issues came from a magazine problem, but I also had stovepipes and FTF with most brands of ammo. My Marlin Model 60 also was fussy. It wouldn't feed anything but Remington Cyclone and Yellow Jacket/Viper ammo. The new model 10/22 I lucked out on, it eats Federal bulk so that's not a problem. My point is I've found it's more often the gun, not the ammo.

Now I like the Xpert ammo. I've heard alot of complaints about it, but I've had pretty good accuracy and reliability with most bolt action repeater, single shot and lever action rifle I've put them through. To be honest, I cannot recall any misfires or any other issue, including finding blanks in my ammo. A couple of years ago I put a new CZ 452 up against a new model Browning T-Bolt using cheap bulk ammo. Both rifles shot pretty good and I incuded Xpert in my tests. Here are two targets each one shot buy the other rifle. Not the best target, but it works just fine for my purpose. ;)

The Winchester Xpert groups are on the right side of each target. An interesting note: If you notice the T-Bolt groups are wandering to the left, those are three different types of ammo using the same zero on my scope. If you thought your different bullets were landing in the same place, good for you. But you'll see some rifles are more finicky with that. The extra hole on the T-Bolt target on the far right target was shot with one of the initial Federal bullets, just to show that it will go back to the same spot. These were shot at 50 yards.

Xperts

I have found Xperts to be the best of the available bulk ammos. If you can find a rimfire that likes it, it is one of the best hunting ammos you will find. Here is a pic of a rifle I am building into what I like to call a Superstock, all original except for the rear bedding crosspin. I chambered it specifically for the xpert ammo and lucked out as it does seem to like the stuff. Target is at 50 yds.
