CZ 858 Folding vs Non Folding

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with both the folding and non folding CZ 858 stocks? If you were able to buy only one and could get either stock for the same price which would you buy and why?
 
I shot both before ordering mine with a folder. I found it fit me better and I like the look
better. Although cheek weld can be a little uncomfortable after a while. I braided para cord around the folder,which helped both feel and looks. Good luck I'm sure you will love your CZ 858 either way
 
Full stock....

The folding stock was very uncomfortable for me but I have to admit I like the look. I do not like the look of the AR collapsible stocks on these rifles either for some reason, seems out of place.

I need to find something that will work with black railed hand guards and pistol grip, but not look like particle board...
 
I have had the original full stock, the skeleton style stock and now have the factory folder. Original full stock's dimensions are just too short and awkward for me. The skeleton stock placed my cheek too high for the irons. The folder could be better, but to me is the best of the three.
 
I have two rifles, one with the factory folder and the other with the factory fixed stock.

I like them equally, but if I could only have one it would be the folder.
 
A small section of foam hot water pipe insulation makes the folder much more comfortable and can be put on or atken off in seconds.
 
I'd take the non-folding. More confortable (I found the folder felt like a lawnmower blade against my shoulder), and more stable.
 
I have the factory folder and I like it a lot. It fits in my shoulder nicely and is very comfortable to shoot. I tried the full stock as well and liked the feel and looks of the folder.
I'm a pretty big guy and it suits me well

Go Aftermarket??

I don't know what the specific L.O.P. is for them, but I found the full stock to be too short for me. I like the feel of the FAB DEF. stock I bought. It is @ 2" longer. You may decide to buy a Magpul, or FAB DEF. or whatever aftermarket stock anyways. I was told the factory butt-stock was short to allow for body armour. Not sure if I believe that.

Looks like people are split. I will probably end up buying an aftermarket stock sooner or later as I did with the Tapco for the SKS. Though I do find myself wanting a stock SKS now as well. :bangHead: I still haven't decided on which 858 I am going to get. I guess I will pick the one that feels most comfortable.

It will work with several stock side adpaters that are coming out shortly.

Just a slight deviation here fellas.
I was recently visiting family east for the Christmas holidays.
We got out one day to shoot at a rifle range thankfully, and I got to try out an 858 for my first time.
It was pleasantly accurate, as I easily ganged the gong @200 yards offhand.
My past experience with surplus rifles in the same calibre, I would say would not been as fruitful, as this little Czech carbine.

There is a second version with the pictinny on the top that will be on plane with the upper hand guard

My CZ came with the fixed stock and i change the stock for the military folder. I like them both but the folder give a very nice look. I put back my fixed stock because i wait a replacement mecanism lock screw for my folder(i buy folder used) but soon as i will have the part, the folder will be on my 858 again.
