My wife did a perfect job cooking up a roast from one of my mulies taken this fall for our New Year's Eve dinner together. She made a gorgonzola cheese sauce to go over it... ohh baby it was good served with pasta.

The first pic with the steaks and mushrooms has my old tasteeee buds just drooling....by the way I see that you have pizza pops on the counter for a back up!!!..By the way why would you be worried about gamey tasting??
each deer was gutted,skinned and cooling within a hour of being shot...that meat should be just about perfect....and washed and hung with care,aged at a good temp then lovingly cut up by a mad man or 2 with knives... It dont get much better then that...

Marinating is complete BS
I never marinate. Especially venison. I always think that people who marinate never really liked what they were eating anyway.

Nothing wrong with marinating though.You are exactly right. The peppers, onions & mushrooms are more than making up for the slight breech in cilinary etiquette

Naww I made him load his own guns ,but I am sure there were a few times that he wished I would have been his gun bearer. He was packin a 308 varmint barrel rifle and I was packin my super duper light mossy 12 guage for upland birds...Oh did I mention it was like carrying a feather?? Right Rick???
