LOL. Nah, it would just be a completely different process, requiring some different machines...
Alas, that prospect is far from now. The factory ammunition alone is bloody expensive (and of course unobtainium, like the G11). I really honestly think that that would be the next big step in firearm design. Though, technically it's old technology, it would be the next step up the tech ladder when it comes to advanced projectile weaponry. That is of course until they figure a way to make something that uses a different unconventional form of ammunition. Every new "advanced" firearms being developed, are really just at the same level of every contemporary firearm but with marginal improvements.
I was handling a Robinson Arms XCR in 223 today now that is a gun that I would like to own but I spent so much on other rifles and scopes in 2009 that I am cash strapped so I started thinking I need to sell some guns and my G29 was one of the ones I thought about selling.
Well for a few seconds anyway I realized I'd have to keep it so I could shoot 3 gun competitions.
