Winchester is now listing an 1895 Grade 1 in 30-40 Krag (!), .30-06 and .405 Win. - it's nice to see the Krag on the list - maybe the .303 British is next, although I won't hold my breath. Production will be "limited". MSRP is US$1179

The Super Grade, Extreme Weather SS, Ultimate Shadow and Sporter are now also available in .338 Win Mag.

Am I ever glad to hear about the reintro of the 338 WM. - haven't looked or asked, but could I fix an old style Rifle Basix Model 70 trigger into a FN Model 70 action?

Nice Model 1895.Would like to see a reintroduced Winchester Model 1886 extra lightweight in .50-110.

I wouldn't want to spend a day at the range shooting that thing! My Sharps in 50-70 is bad enough. 50 rounds @ 565gns of lead over 63gns of GOEX = a black/blue/green shoulder. This is with an 11lb rifle.

I would have liked to have seen them re-introduce an 1886 in .45-70, to compete with all the .45-70's Marlin sells.

In regards to the Safari, I like how they're getting back into the big bore game, looks like an okay rifle for the price. Would prefer Rigby over Remington though.

Experience the power and performance of the legendary 45-70 Govt. cartridge in this magnificent Model 1886 Extra Light Grade I rifle from Winchester Repeating Arms. Another of John M. Browning’s great firearm designs, the Model 1886 features a deeply blued receiver, lever and barrel, along with a matching blued steel end cap and straight buttplate. The half-length magazine helps keep the rifle trim and easy to carry, both afoot and on horseback. A rich satin finish accents the smooth walnut stock. A top-tang safety, adjustable buckhorn rear sight and blade front sight constitute the finishing touches on this legendary rifle. If you’ve always wanted to ride into the sunset with a great piece of Western history across your saddle, make sure you get your Model 1886 now, because its production will also be very limited.

Supercub - 22" barrel, no checkering, 1/2 mag and MSRP of US$1269!

The .50-110 can't be any worse than my .405 or .348.Most likely I would not want to shoot any of them all day at the range either. Have always wanted a .50- 110 but could never find one in my price range. Also I like the extra light weight version of the Model 1886.Have one in .45-70 Government calibre.

Last night I was cruising their site. They have a 1886 take down in 45-90. That would be nice. I want one of each except the 94. I guess the tang safety is better than a cross bolt.
