New Norinco M14 / M305 vids

Norinco Review

Very well done. It's nice to see that a norinco can do that well "out of the box". It seems that a lot of emphasis is placed on all the mods you must do just to make the thing shoot. It would appear that it will do just fine on its own, with exceptions I'm sure. I just know the big thing we are interested in is how the suppressor is mounted. Could you provide some pictures that display the mounting method? For educational purposes of course. Thanks again for the great video.

Sure, the muzzle is threaded (looks to be factory standard thread?) for the suppressor which is pushed onto the barrel about 4" before screwing on.

Is it true that the rifle gets pluged up with carbon alot quicker with the can on then with it off?

Undoubtedly. The congestive effect caused by the 'can' chugs fouling back through the action. When firing you really get a much stronger smell of powder and can see *it floating out around the mag and receiver in general. Due to the m14 design not using a receiver cover the bolt and receiver internals are affected far less than other suppressed rifles I've fired such as the dragunov. The dragunov bolt gets absolutely caked in fouling and the bolt carrier becomes very noticeably blackened. The m14 bolt on the other hand is hardly affected.

Welcome Grant_man and thanks for sharing the videos!

You make me so jealous that I want to move to New Zealand besides having your own rifle range and shooting from your deck you can own the Dragunov while its prohibited here (I remember your deck while searching for SVD video on youtube months ago):D

Err, we used to be able to own a dragnov (with a standard A cat license). M14 is still all good though.

Nice idea to use an ironing board as a firing platform. Wish I had a back yard like yours :) Thanks for sharing the video. The report with the suppressor on didn't sound like it was suppressed at all...that was until you took it off. Awesome.
