I found a nice new example of Scott A. Duff's book on maintaining, cleaning and accurizin the M14 rifle and decided to purchase it. So I logged onto amazon.com and went through the steps until that very last step and...

Then this screen pops up identifying that they will not sell these books to anyone outside of the USA.

OK I know its harder than a bull moose in November to get rifle parts out of the USA but now literature too? :ar15:

Lord Tunderin' Jaesus

Of course Amazon.ca hgas no gun books at all now.
I'm pissed off

The very same thing happened to me yesterday as I was trying to order ''The Model 1911 and Model 1911A1 Military and Commercial Pistols'' by Joe Poyer on amazon.com. I read the explanations under the ''click here'' icon and it said something about the weight of the book. I didn't worry about it since I was thinking that the seller had a weight limit for the $12.95 int'l shipping charge (the book is very large). Now that it happened to you too, that's weird!! I hope they won't go as far as preventing us from buying gun litterature too!!
BTW, I found the book I wanted on Ebay for cheaper.

Weird, just over a month ago I ordered the "Kalashnikov" Greenhill manual, "Kalashnikov, the Gun that Changed the World", and Janes "Guns Recognition Guide" along with some Blu Rays from Amazon.com. No issues.

Amazon has entire stores that won't sell outside of the lower 48. I thought about buying an All-Clad stock pot there once, but no shipments to Canada. The whole corporation is severely Ameri-centric.

Weird, I just ordered 3 gun books from Amazon.ca a few days back. They were supposed to arrive today but didn't... I'm going to be really pissed if they sold them and "shipped" them to me if they didn't have them.

I had an opposite experience: couple months ago I tried to order some books, same story: no shipping OCONUS, but I tried again last week for the same books and it worked
Must be some sellers only

The CIA already knows you were just going to boil a goat for Osama Bin Laden. Drat, foiled again...

America's security never sleeps (except when you fly with an underwear bomb or crash a White House party...)

they DAMN well better sell gun books! I bought two kindles from them, one for me and one my daughter.
The main reason for mine, was so I could read them anywhere anytime! Soon as get it charged and ready to go, we'll see, I'll let you know what I find out.

Later....

No, Amazon.com ships to the US, Amazon.ca ships to Canada... the last time I bought online the .com site had a link to take you .ca ...

Not unlike, Dell.com and Dell.ca for example...

I have bought from Amazon.com and had the item shipped to Canada with no problems. Shipping costs were rather high though.

I have bought the Gun digest of the 1911 vol 1 and 2 as well as the ar15 vol2 from amazon about a year or so ago with no problems. The books were bought at different times too.

I have order tons of stuff from amazon.com mostly movies and school books and the odd gun book.

But i tried to order the Hornady 7th edition reloading manual yesterday and they wont ship it out of the US. which is stupid because I can order it from cabelas in Canada. but not Amazon.ca it isn't there.

they wont ship anytihng except books, videos, DVD's etc -no electronics ( except Kindle) and other consumer products.may have something to do with marketing agreeements as to which country they sell in.

PITA if you have to order through amazon.ca. Selection is limited and timing is slow
