Brasso or Nu-Car Finish

I have been using this stuff for the last few days.....
It's probably a bit pricey but I have had it sitting for a long time. No issues with it sticking in the primer pockets. Are you shaking it through a grate? My tumbler lid has a grate on it and I just turn it upside down and shake for about 3 minutes.
Tumble first, then de-prime.
I didn't even think of that. Of course. Mine still had spent primers in them. Unless he is talking about the little hole inside the casing but I can't see the corncob media getting stuck in there.
Never had any success with Nufinish.
All I use is an abrasive additive like Lyman or Dillon. Flitz is basically the same thing but ends up being much more expensive than the Lyman. The Lyman Turbo Brite has a creamy consistency, made for untreated media and is about $16 for a 20oz bottle. I dilute it just a little so it doesn't stick to the sides of the bowl as much when first added.

x2!!I have never even tried anything other than plain media,but it so happens i have a bottle of Nufinish in my shop so i'll give it a try tomorrow!
I don't like the Flitz or the new finish. They do a fine job but i find that it builds up a wax layer on the media and the tumbler. You have to change the media more often and eventually it will build up so bad that it starts leaving the wax like deposit on the brass to.
The brasso is much much faster and it never leaves crap in your tumbler or on your brass.
Out of all the products i have tried brasso is the quickest, cleanest, and your media lasts longer.

I don't use anything, but time. Brass needs to be clean, not shiney.
"...$35..." Pricey. Crushed corn cobs and/or walnut shells are sold as small pet bedding in discount pet supply shops. 18 kilos, I think it is, runs under $20. Mind you, by the time you're in need, it'll likely be more.

I use nu finish now. I have used old Brasso, new brasso and peak as well. Nu Finish does a great job. It might just be me but it smells like the old formula Brasso.
I don't like the new brasso that comes in the plastic bottle. It reeks of ammonia and doesn't clean nearly as well.

Crashed walnut from pet store (lizard litter).
I usually clean brass before sizing/depriming, rifle brass goes to the tumbler after resizing as well (to get rid of the lube). The first station of the progressive press has Lee universal de-capping die installed that takes care of the walnut stuff stuck in the primer hole.

I used to use Brasso until the formula changed. The new stuff turns my brass black when I tumble with plastic beads in my Lortone rotary tumbler. My best guess is that it doesn't agree with the rubber barrel.
I am currently using Lyman Turbo Brite polish; one teaspon per load does the job. I have also successfully used Turtle Wax scratch and swirl remover, which I used because I happened to have some lying around.
