Anybody else curious about this new M&P22?

I hear it is not going to be identical in size but similar enough for holsters to fit...not a gimpy mini-version but not quite an exact clone either.

Still the M&P series seems to be doing well and the MP22 is getting lots of press...it would be nice to have another .22 semi-auto handgun option.

Who else is interested in this thing?

Depends how "smaller" it will be. Is Smith and Wesson comeing out with a 22 conversion for the m&p or just a new gun?

From what I understand MP-22 is a damn .22 rifle that cause quite a bit of trouble.

there is an M&P22 rifle...rumour has it that an M&P22 pistol is in the works right now as well.

I remember reading on the M&P Forum site a bunch of people wanting a 22 conversion for the pistol, but I just checked and no talk of a 22LR version of the pistol mentioned ... yet

I own an M&P 9. I'm on a waiting list for a M&P 15/22, I have a M&P 15 on layaway at my local g-shop....

I am really liking the direction S&W is going

Not yet..... it's on my list.

I have a buddy who has one so I get to shoot it from time to time. So its not like I NEED to buy one! Same situation with a M&P40
