Is there a site one can go to that lists hunters who have been given a fine or have been charged with hunting unethically?? Crimes such as hunting in a province while not being a resident or having a non-resident licence and taking game in one province then returning home with the spoils to be caught in another home province??? Is it possible to view a list of these so called hunters??\
Thanks:mad:

Not likely to be just one site, since hunting is regulated provincially. I would explore each provincial government website under their respective ministry/department that regulates natural resources/environment/wildlife/hunting&fishing. You might find some publish a list for their province, but I doubt all of them do. I can think of reasons why they wouldn't, and some jurisdictions will decide one way, some the other.

Please note that these types of people are not hunters, they are poachers, or worse.

Many are hunters, who push their luck, until they get caught. They are among us. Many of us know a few. Distancing them from ourselves by labelling them "poachers" after the fact means little.

The moment their criminal activities begin, they cease to be hunters.
Unless, of course, they wave their treaty card ..
I've known a lot of people, over the years, that wouldn't be considered "ethical " hunters by the "Fish Cops" Don't bother me too much...what's good for one goose is good for the other goose in my book . Just have to make sure the taxpaying geese don't get caught .....

ethics , thats a personal thing , until it becomes a legal issue. Would like to think all hunters respect the sport of hunting , and taking game to feed their family.:)
With some groups, or individuals , it gets out of hand, and thats just sad!

the amount of time it takes to feed your family and provide a home is huge for most of us these days. when we have a little time to enjoy our hobby and fill a tag must we treat it like a job also? ethics are a personal thing, is it ethical to bait, shoot from a truck or run deer with dogs? it is legal in lots of places in north america, but ethical? how about shooting from great distances? ethics seem to be about making the bag more difficult, where as legal means don't take more than your share. if we take things to the extreme, killing a deer with your bare hands would probably be the most ethical while commercial style hunting is the most illegal. i'm getting to old to walk ten k for my deer and dragging one for miles would kill me so using my truck as a ground blind while watching fields or cutlines does not seem unethical to me. i hunt for food, not trophies, but i don't turn down trophies either.

One of the main reasons that I have built so many different shooting shacks in different locations .
I saw hundreds of deer, but only shot 3 on the final days of the season ...
Some people consider it unethical to shoot from elevated , heated shacks....I could care less , but I'm only going to build one more shooting shack next spring......on my brother's place....never been hunted....lots of deer....I can hardly wait ...

There is no such thing as being charged for unethical hunting. You either hunt LEGALLY or ILLEGALLY........ethics has nothing to do with the law.

X2 on that.

"Unethical" isn't a chargeable offense yet. It's just a way that one group of legal hunters points at another group of legal hunters, while looking down their nose at them.

Cheers
