We're Looking at Bringing in Redding Products

All my Dies except my 416 Rigby are Redding, and only because I couldn't find Redding 416 Rigby dies at the time. Which I see they now make so I'll be replacing my Rigby dies with redding soon enough. I love there dies, defiantly be buying more of there equipment if you start carrying it.

Any input would be welcome. Phil.

Since you put it that way Phil,,:D :

I own an "Ultramag" press. Its arguably overkill for average reloading jobs, but I've recently used it to open up some 8 mm brass to 9 mm and for swaging some FMJ bullets down to 9 mm thus making cartridges for the 9 x 57 Mauser. I was happy to have the controlled oomph of the Ultramag to work with and expect that bona fide "Wildcat" reloaders would enjoy having one of these presses on their bench. This press has inherent capacity for reloading the 50 BMG as well. I think, in terms of capacity, the Ultramag is unique.

I don't have one, but if I were in the market for a turret style press, the T-7 would seem to me to be a stand alone choice, especially as I'm familiar with Redding quality.

Redding dies, I think its fair to say, are ones we tend to think of as high end in terms of both quality and price. Forster has corrected their famous press to accept the tall Redding competition dies. Forster dies compete with Reddings' so whats that tell ya? If I were a dealer though, I'd ask the Shot Show rep to promise me, on the eyes of his children, to provide prompt shipment of dies when I ordered em. Then I'd keep a minimum number in stock. Unless margins and terms are pretty darn generous I'd think an awful lot of $$ could be tied up in an inventory of these things.

Anyhow, as a consumer, I see Redding as unique in their provision of the above product lines. I'd have no reservation about recommending Redding quality to a friend, especially since RCBS's quality has been slipping of late.

I have a trimmer, scales, powder measure and trickler made by Redding too and, though I'm happy with them all, I don't honestly see them as unique. I got them as part of a package deal with the Ultramag.

Have you stopped carrying Wilson pistols? I don't see them on your site.

Redding dies are all I will use now,and they make a wide range of dies that RCBS either doesn't make or they must be custom made. Mur

Thanx for the feedback so far...keep it coming as I will read this until Jan 16 when we are leaving for Vegas. This last year has been mixed in support we got from the various manufacturers with Dillon being on top and Hornady being on the bottom. I have a long memory and people who step up to the plate get my business first (not unlike the retail side). Phil.

Redding reloading supplies

Redding has very good quality and I use some of it, dies mainly.
As with everything PRICE will determine how much you sell.
Redding is accessable now from the USofA, so that's what you have to compete with.

Anything accessory related has always been available in the USA, question is if you are prepared to pay the shipping. I thought I was getting a pretty good deal on some items that I couldn't get here in Canada, until they added on the International order charge and postage though the US postal service, plus $5.00 brokerage. plus GST. All these charges turn a real sweet deal into not so great a deal by the time it is all said and done. I have done several orders to Sinclair in the USA. FS

This reflects my experience exactly!! I will support P&D's Redding stock, as long as availability is there. Eagleye.

I bought a Redding scale (model2) used, and it was missing the hook. I emailed Redding and they had one in the mail within 12 hours of my email...and best of all, it was free!! No postage, no shipping and handling....i didnt even try to lie and say that the hook was broken, i told them I wanted to BUY a new one!!

Redding's customer service and quality is as good as it gets, and my reloading bench will be upgraded to all Redding components slowly but surely.

I have moved to buying only Redding and Forster dies with the only exception being Lee Collet dies. I think it would be great to have a Canadian place to buy high quality reloading tools. I have been combing the Sinclair Int. catalog, and web site as it seems a lot of the specialty tools like Forster neck turners, Wilson case trimmers can't be had in Canada, so I order from the states.

As far as P&D goes, when I have had a chance to stop by I have always had luck with finding most things I set out to buy. My only disappointment is that the store seemed to only have Dillon Blue stuff available... so I had to shop else where (WSS/online). I would be very happy to see P&D carry some of the other high quality reloading brands out there such as Redding, and I would be happy having only a one stop shop.

Good luck in Vegas!

As noted in some of my previous posts...reloading equipment was difficult to get during the last year due to the unprecedented demand in the USA. Besides Dillon we have had good luck with RCBS and had a large quantity in stock and coming in new orders. Lyman sells very well in tumblers, scales, powder measured, presses but to a lesser extent dies (we are placing a large order at the Shot Show). Hornady as you know has been a big disappointment after building a significant momentum two years ago couldn't meet the demand and we still have tools on back order from 10 months ago (their ammunition and components have also been extremely difficult to obtain). We hope Redding will fill some holes and build some new business for us. Phil.

We spoke at length with Redding at the Shot Show and are currently preparing out order for a reasonably substantial order. If anyone needs anything specificly this would be a good time to contact us. Phil.

Our first order of Redding is now in stock. We only brought in a few presses but a fair bit of other items like dies, trimmers, scales, gauges, powder measures and seating equipment. Phil.

Good to know! I love my Redding gear and it is usually not long before I am looking for more

Did you geta T-7 and how much are they. It is the one Redding product I don't understand. In there catalogue it lists for 379 I beleive, here in Canada from 379 to 400. Yet it can be had for 200 bucks in the US. Everything else Redding doesn't seem to vary much. I want one bad but refuse to pay 200 more for it.

We don't carry the T7 press in stock. You may have to wait a long time to get one for $200 as this is under my wholesale price. If you find someone in Canada selling these for $200 please let me know as I will buy out their inventory at that retail price. A standard T-7 press with primer arm would sell (from us) at $338. A T-7 press with shell holder and 10Adies would be $383. This press may not be selling well in the US and might be discounted to lower inventory but the regular new selling price seems to be about $230-$240 US. Even with the current decent currency exchange that number would be in the $270 CDN range. We bought at the new 2010 prices (we are a new dealer and have no old inventory)from Redding that increased about 3% over 2009. We also had to pay for shipping and brokerage (as you also would to). Phil.
