I have a question as I am unsure. I have an old ruger m77 in 30-06. If I simply order an edge for this will I be able to drop it right in, or will I have to rework it some? This gun weighs a ton.
No EDGE fill for the Ruger.

I didn't realise that the m40a1 style could come as an Edge...
Thanks, I should have checked, but just asumed that I could buy an edge for my Ruger.

They do, and it is lovely![]()
Yes, with Talley LWs and a VXIII 2.5x8 BC.

OOOh, that's neat. Would you tell me what it weights....What contour barrel have you got in there? I read that the HTG stock is best with heavier barrels, not so with lighter contours. Thanks
The 270's waaaay better. Whatcha thinkin'?Thinking I might do the same blueprint, cept in .280...(possibly AI)![]()
REMINGTON HUNTERS EDGE ULTRALIGHT w/BDL bottom. Plain black, no bowling ball stock for this kid.BDL pattern?

Why not just buy a 7Mag?
.
I've loaded plenty cartridges with a belt and without. I've yet to see how the "no belt" version is an advantage. No belt
You're right, but most never empty the magazine either way.more down,
How so? The 7Mag was one of the very first cases I loaded for. I found it quite easy to load for and less hassle than fireforming the AI version of the 280.easier to load for,
Good point, but 7Mag brass is cheap and easy to find. The overall extra cost of the 280 AI dies and fireforming would buy the shooter quite a bit of 7Mag brass.no case stretch.
How's that?Hows that?
