I have it from a very reliable source that shotshell target ammo is going to take another huge price increase, as high as 20%. A guy might have to start to reload again, Yikes, that will put Win AA at close to $120.00 a flat. FS

Le Barons was $79.99/flat all year on AA's and had a mail in rebate of $2 U.S per box til Oct 31/09. I bought 5 flats and with the rebate I got back worked out to $70/flat tax in. Then I sold all the once fired hulls at the club for $10/100 so got $120 back on the hulls. So that was $450 minus $120 = $330 plus a winchester coupon cash card(rebate) worth $100 on my next purchase. Good deal. Thats on 50 boxes ammo. Under $5/box. Hard to beat!

the spank, did you get your winchester rebate card back yet? I sent in a rebate form as well and nothing here yet. Come to think of it I also sent a rebate for for remington ammo as well with nothing back yet. Damn,I think I've been had.;)

I cut bar codes and sent rebate forms in for both. Got letter back from Remington Canada which said that offer was only good for the USA. "Too bad, so sad, but hope you continue to buy Remington!":confused::mad:
Since Bass Pro advertised the rebate in their flyer they gave me a gift certificate.:D:D Got a bunch of Discover cards from Winchester. Problem was that no one in my area would honor the discover cards, including Bass Pro which also had the rebate offer in their flyer. This time the Bass Pro customer service manager said that Winchester gave me the cards as promised and it was not their problem that the cards were not good in Canada, even though Winchester said that the cards would be good everywhere Winchester ammo was sold.:confused::mad:

I had to do a lot of whining and sniveling to the Winchester rep and wrote a letter to the agency that sent me the cards. I finally got a check in the mail from Quick Pay Solutions:D:D:D Got to be persistent with those guys.

Wow, what a pain in the arse! I thought i had about $130 coming IF I ever hear from them. Sent my forms beginning of Nov. I think. Hopefully, I can be as persistent as you and end up with something. I have had no problem with rifle shell rebates from winchester before, but they were not a debit card either.

shotshell pricing

In Ontario, both Hummason and Lawry are selling their trap loads for $55.00 a flat at this time. Taxes on top of that of course. Hummason is Winchester SuperTarget while Lawry is Federal Top Guns.

At Hummison, bags of shot are $32 right now but I was told to expect it to climb to $40 by summertime. .

I guess my next question is going to be= Were you able to spend yours or did you have trouble finding a store that would accept it?
Hoping for some good news here.

In the Calgary area WSS, Russells, Bass Pro and the Calgary Firearms Center advertised the Winchester offer. The adds which were displayed said that the cards would be good wherever Winchester Ammo was sold. When I got my cards the form said it could also be used for the purchase of gas. None of ther above would accept the Discover card. When I phoned the 800 number on the card I was told that Wally World would accept the card in Canada. Not so. I was persistent and finally got a check. Many from the same offer the year before settled for nothing or used their discover cards when they went south. If the cards will not work in your area photo copy them and write a letter. Better the hundred dollars in your pocket.

I think that is about right. The guy I get my shot from now charges $39 tax in. He said his next batch may be close to $60.00.

Today I spoke to a buyer from WSS and was told that Federal Top Gun Ammo is expected to go down in price.

Some of us never stopped. ;)

I was a loading fanatic till someone at Kent Cartridge asked if I'd like to come to work for them.
After a few years of shooting great ammo for little or no cost, you lose the desire to reload. When the writing was on the wall that I was going to lose this great line I made what you might call, a substancial investment in shotshell ammo, both target and hunting. The last fantastic buy was on the Green hulled Gamebore at $30.00 a flat, I bought a few of those........ Starting to run a little low now, and I'm far less generous to siblings. FS
