Replacement tt-33 barrels? I didn't rinse mine with water or windex and thought bore cleaner was enough.
Dark and a bit of putting..

I would try Marstar, Tradex, and failing that, check the search for the barrels. Someone had mentioned getting them from the states in the last month.

I'll bet it still shoots just fine, try it, dark bores do not necessarily affect accuracy.

Old news on 2012 Olympics

A friend is staying in Tucson for the winter and he brought a U.K. paper for the gun trade from September

Apparently Lord Coe MP, has stated that Bisley is NOT suitable for the 2012 Olympic shooting venue.

Now if that is the case, just what in HELL is suitable.?

I believe the gubmint wants to build a range for the shooting events and then tear it down after the Olympics.

I would strongly advise not to use Naval Jelly, it is a phosphoric acid:

That gunk the boxotruth guy was pulling out of the barrel, probably some of that was the rust, and also some of it was his bore brush, and the barrel steel itself. Just shoot your pistol and then decide if the barrel is pooched.

(Oh yeah, what he was doing was parkerizing the bore of the barrel)
