VZ58 Short Barrels

I'm not sure where you were going with this, but allow me to make one observation.

A centerfire semi automatic firearm with a barrel less than 18.5 inches is by definition, restricted. There is no question of these being non-restricted.

Pretty sure he was wondering if they will make a non res. Lets settle down people... we are all on the same side.

Now picture a cantilevered scope off the back rail with a bull barrel.

With the right fixed stock, that would be interesting!!

I'd have to see how it looks. Normally I assume cantilevered means only a single attachment point. I'm wondering how a rail system running from the front rail to the rear adapter might look. Clearing the rear sight could be a problem, but if it was me, I'd remove it anyway.

so if the barrel ends at the gas block, will there be sights on top of the gas block, like a galil?

will there be a flat top to the block for AR type sights?

any shorter than 10.5? 8 or 7 inch maybe? krink style?

I would be interested in both, if they could be imported to the U.S. I was planning on a bull barrel build for my next vz-58.

I figured that would be the case. I built a number of vz's built from various receivers with my last one chambered in 6.5 grendel using modified ar mags. I was planning to do an SBR as well as a "tabuk" / RPK version similar to one of the other posts on here.

They are non-importable as the US considers these guns to be built on a "full-auto" receiver. The US version is built on a new, US-made receiver.
FWIW czechpoint, and possibly CZ, bring theirs in from CZ as "sporting" guns (single stack mag and thubhole stock) and cut the magwell and change stocks.
