I use a LnL projector.
You have an LNL AP. The "Projector" was an earlier model, quite different in several ways.

This is a "Projector":

I use a LnL projector. I had minor issues with primer feed, i now place a rod on top of the primers in the tube to put a bit of weight on them, and marked it to show the primer level. No issues since.

The new (within past year or so) L&L AP's come with the hassle free Ez-eject system and they've stolen your idea as well. Mine came with a small fiberglass rod for insertion into the primer tube, added an E-tape flag, works great.

The only occasional, and very minor issue I've had with mine is that my 45 ACP brass sometimes didn't make the trip between the case feeder drop tube and the shellplate. I scotch taped a 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" piece of clear plastic from a ziplock bag around the bottom of the drop tube to extend 1 " below the tube on the shellplate side. This forms a little guide which prevents the brass from tipping over after it drops. Presto, problem solved. Didn't even need to resort to duct tape :D.

I use a 650 dedicated to 308. It has a case feeder and I use only new factory primed brass. It is easy to crank out 500 an hour. With ball powder the powder charges are very uniform.

It has over 500,000 rounds on it and is getting kinda sloppy. Dillon has ofered to re-build (or replace) it.

I use a 550 with a number of different tool heads for 7 pistol calibers. I gave up trying to primer with it. I now size/decap on a single stage and prime with a Lee Autoprime.

I have a TV in the laoding room, so watch TV while sizing and priming.

NEVER try to watch TV when using a progressive loading pistol ammo. Too easy to double charge.

Read below....

2 Pro 1000's: Large primer for 44 mag, 45 ACP & 45 Colt. Small primer for 357 & 40 S&W(sold my 40 tho). The large promer Pro 1000 primer system works much better than the small. Dollar for dollar, they work well, but I don't shoot as much handgun as many of you do.

JT.

How come no Loadmaster on the list? No Lee jokes... it was used and CHEAP when I got it. Even with employee pricing, I can't afford a Dillon (and wouldn't pay the full retail price for one anyways). :( Someday a nice used one will come along.

Don't hold your breath for a deal on a used Dillon, they hold their value incredibly well.

Hornady L-N-L AP had it for a few years and loaded a ton of .45 acp.
Dillon 550 just got it used recently and switched the .45 over to try it.
Have not decided which I like better and they are both good machines.

550b with case feeder for 9mm, 40s&w, 45acp.
550b with a harrell's BR powder measure for .223 and .308

The 550 casefeeder has a habit of occasionally choking on a 9mm casing in the funnel tube. Once I go up to even a 40s&w casing, this issue goes away, so this is getting converted to large primer only (45 acp, and soon to be 10mm), and the 9mm & 40 s&w will get loaded on a 650 that is awaiting finishes to the gun room.

I have a Hornady LNL that I bought for the free bullets too, but it is sitting in a box in the corner, and the rockchucker handles the occasional single stage tasks.
