Hello boys and girls,

I stumbled across this site while doing some research on Glocks the other day and decided to join. I'm new to the gun world but I've been obsessed with them since I was a kid. I started collecting cap guns and then moved on to BB guns and now I'm taking the next step into the real world :ar15:

I don't do any hunting just looking to get into target practice for now. I'm currently looking for a firing range and some firearms, I'm thinking about getting a semi-auto .22 LR to start and a Glock 31 .357 SIG :nest:

I'm thinking about joining the Burlington Rifle & Revolver Club because its close by and its open 24h which is nice. But I'm still doing research on all of the above before I take the next step and I'm hoping to get a better understanding of everything by reading and asking questions on here. So please bare with me and my noob questions :stfun00b:

Sorry for the novel and looking forward to being a part of the forums :D

All the best,

Hawkeye.

Welcome Hawkeye.

I've found that everyone so far on this forum has been courteous, nice, and friendly.
There is vast information available and no question is stupid.
I'm sure you'll be a very welcome addition.

Be sure to sign up for the Equipment Exchange forum....lots of goodies there for buying and selling.

Welcome aboard, if the Burlington club your talking about is the one on King Rd, I believe there is a waiting list to become a member there. Not to discourage but apply there and look at an outdoor range to be able to fill in the time. Cheers.

Welcome. If you are interested in Trap Shooting, the Hamilton Gun Club is outstanding for this, and a short drive for you. I wish I was in Oakville so my trips there were less painful.

Thanks for the warm welcome all, nice to see :D

JesseJamesB: thanks for the heads up, I'm going to shoot them an email to see what the wait is like :(

Blaque: thanks for the tip, probably going to start off with just target shooting for now till a get a good grasp of things. I could definitely see myself enjoying trap shooting in the future though

Silverdale is a better option IMO, less bs to deal with but a further drive 45min. Nice outdoor ranges, 200yd rifle, trap, action ranges ect. Friendly atmosphere run by some good folk who don't treat you like a child.

IPSC is calling you........

Followed closely by IDPA>.......

Very interesting, thanks for the info :)

Yeah this place does look nice, only prob is its pretty far. I could see myself going there once in awhile to use the 100/200 yard range, its nice that you can get a day pass for $20 too!
