Pistols and Revolvers for left handers

most of have no trouble with being left handed- you might give us a better idea as to what you desire, or get thee to a range and try out a bunch-myself, i use a double action revolver( ruger redhawk) but any of the pistols or revolvers can be used with either hand-it's just a case of MINDSET and technique
 
Good luck with semi autos, they just aren't cosiderate of us guys. bout as good as you're likely to get is ambidextrous safeties on them
 
there are millions of us left handers all over north america who love and purchase firearms (there is a lot of money there for these firearm companies). you would think they would make guns for us.
 
my point still stands- most pistols are ambi- you may have to modify slightly or not at all to achieve this, but it can be done- in the case of the 1911, all that's needed is an ambi SAFETY- you use the index finger of the left hand for everything- that works for all automatics- for double action revolvers, i use a speed loader and come across the topstrap, backanded- there's other ways documented on YOUTUBE- - in addition to the redhawk, i have a couple of beretta 22s, a beretta 92sb,a tokarev, 2 45acps, and another of 44 redhawks- about the only thing i don't have is a 22 revolver and a 38/357- plus a ruger old army single action-i've been shooting since 1970, and i''m left hand left eye dominant
 
thank t-star. i too am left hand left eye dominant. do you find it bother you when shooting a semi-auto and the casing eject pass your face?

1) that pistol is at the end of your arm,which is at least a good foot in front of your face even when not fully extended- no where near your face
2) when that casing comes out of the chamber, it's moving- you can't see it - even in 22- you don't even see a blur-besides, you're concentrating on the front sight- you're not even conscious of the ejection- out of those 3- i'd get the sig- all the controls are where they should be- and just refer to it as a sig- everybody else does-refer to it as a saucer and they'll look at you wierd- it's sauer
 
I'm also a lefty and have never had any real problems with any of my hand guns. Ambi safety on 1911's as stated is a good idea.
I'm way more concerned about flying brass from my rifles than any handguns due to the distance that the handgun is from my face.
You will find some problems tho' in locating left handed ammo. :p
 
The STI GP6 is truly ambidextrose. The slide stop, safety, and mag release work from either side without modification.
