"...any good for hunting?..." Yes, but mostly small game only. However, nearly all carbines are restricted. There are some with non-restricted barrels. No hunting with restricted firearms. An ATT depends on where you live. It's also why the supply of ammo is low.

WSS Lethbridge had some in stock last time I was in. Pricey though. Thank goodness I'm into reloading .

Wholesale Sports and Cabelas usually have it in stock. And most other places do too. Some of them keep it near their hand gun ammo.
