Swiss military shotguns

I got some swiss surplus shotgun ammo, loaded with #2 shot, and I was curious to find out if the Swiss military uses shotguns, and what make and model they use.

what do they need shotguns for: arent even all the civilian militia issued full auto SIG 550s?
i would trade all my shotguns for one of those

Well, regardless of what their main gun is, militarys will always have a use for shotguns (breaching etc)

Swiss military uses Remington 870's as their primary shotgun.

SIG P220 9mm's as their handgun

TRG-42 as their sniper

SG 550 as their main assault rifle (w/a Kern 4x it doubles as a DMR in many cases)

As said before: Remmy 870 with Ghost Ring sights and a 20" barrel.
