Bought a SX3 three years ago and it was a great 12 gauge. I sold it becase I figured I did not need more than one auto loading shotgun:eek: I now have 7:redface: It was one I always wanted back. When I saw this one I jumped on it. They have pretty much kept it all the same as when they first came out, the one change I did notice was stainless steel magazine tube under the forearm. Good move since it was a pain to clean my original one that was just steel. Much nicer wood than my first also. Have not shot it yet but have zero doubt its performance.

Nice gun Thad. What's with the recoil pad? Are you able to change LOP or is it some sort of recoil device?

It is to change LOP and just a different design to look at.

I have my 28" 3 1/2 Waterfowl Camo model. I love it, after looking at a few more I have decided I want a 28" Walnut model 3" too. Or the new Color Shadow Grey Synthetic, but then again the wood gun does look nice, and the finish on the winchesters although not blued is a second to none matte.

My only gripes with the gun is that I wish they had a 4th set of spacers to drop the comb by another 1/8" or so, that would allow my long ass neck to not have to crunch down on it.

My wife just bought one of these and we went out to shoot it and it will not cycle with a light skeet load. I tried it with a turkey shell and it worked fine. Doesn't eject the fired shell most times but when it does it does not load the one from the magazine. I read the manual it comes with but it doesn't say anything about this. Can anyone familiar with his shotgun help us out? I have no experience with any semi auto as I have always used doubles and one old pump gun I have.

I know I had to run 3-4 boxes of heavy loads (3" is what I used) through my Xtreama before it would cycle the light loads (7/8 oz trap). If it is new, it just may need to be broke in. Take it out, have some fun, and put a 100rds through it. Enjoy:)

Mine is a 3 1/2" model and the first thing I ever shot was 1 1/8 oz target loads in 2 3/4". Mine has never skipped a beat except for on some 15 year old handloads that had dust for powder.

I wouldn't dare mess with nice walnut like that on my own. Where did you buy it, and if you don't mind, what did it cost you??

That wood is much nicer than the wood I've seen on the Brownings, and other than the lack of gloss, it's exactly what I'm looking for- I've actually just started a thread about this.

I do like a gloss finish, but I quite like this look for this shotgun.
