Windage SKS

I have the correct windage adjustment tool for my SKS, but the lateral movement seems to be very stubborn and I don't want to force anything to much. Is there a secret to get lateral movement in the front sight? Thanks.

That's pretty well it...the ones I've dealt with seemed to be "frozen" in place with dried grease, etc., Once it's "cracked", you can then get the sight tool to work. Try a bit of penetrating oil.

A socket set and a hammer can be adapted. The sight adjustment tools make beautiful sculptures, don't they?

I have found the sight adjustment tools work well for me.

First of all, put a drop of penetrating oil like Kroil down from the top. Next make sure that the sight tool positions properly, so that the frame of the tool isn't blocking the shaft that the screw side is trying to push. I had to grind the frame of mine on an angle so that it would sit high enough on the sight hood so that it didn't block the shaft.
