Observed improvements:

Iron sight- Improved the way of how it attaches, a portion of the FSB is now hollowed-out, attachment points for tactical accessories has been added to both side of the FSB, and rear sight seemed reinforced as well.

Furnitures-The little foregrip is changed to the conventionally-shaped trigger guard, increased cheek weld, front lower handguard is thickened and the anti-slip grooves is deepened, revised pistol grip shape to fabricate the operation of the now-relocated selector switch, the carrying handle portion is reinforced, and the upper hand guard now has 5 evenly-spaced ventilation holes on each side.

Trigger mechanism- This is the biggest improvement on the Type 95: The fire selector is now located behind the trigger and above the pistol grip and can be operated with the thumb, the trigger mechanism is generally improved as well.

Other improvements: Improved magazine catch, improved gas regulator that can be adjusted with the tip of the cartridge, and the receiver has been revised due to the absence of the selector switch.

Here's a video of a biography of a female PLA officer in a small arms test centre, which shows interesting footage of some of the toys(includes the aforementioned Type 95 Improved) are being put through their paces including the dust tests and low temperature tests:

Hell, I'm left-eye dominant and I'd buy one of those in .223!

Well tell that to the ones who all the sudden decided the Type 97s are to evil for us to own :(..... I'm a South Paw and I still want one badly ......

BTW the female officer in that video is the one who tests and gives certification to the QBZ-95 so we could see them for the first time during the HK handover in 1997 and ever since.....

The video is a PLA made video to showcase the "brave and the best" of the armed forces. (propaganda)

The whole thing is about her military career and how she became a proud weapons tester. It talks about her life in the the academy when young, and throughout her career she was so hard working she almost lost her unborn child, got sick, blah blah blah, yet she is a strong woman and overcame all the hardship being in the PLA and rose to the top for the motherland.

There isnt much talk about the weapons, other than the fact she is stated to successfully test all the modern guns showcased in the 1997 Hong Kong take over.

So yes, the video states she is the head arms tester for the T-95 series and is the one who has signed off its final designs. (yet in the video she can barely hold a rifle properly )

Looks like they may have changed the rear scope mount. If you look closely there is a hole in the top front edge of the mount. Probably a screw hole.

This isn't the case with my Type 97.

FFS:mad:

I tried loading your vid....10 seconds load time / frame! lol..... I saw a few dozen frames. I know youtube has some good vids on the type 97...stress testing it in sand and water, etc.
