Para-Ordnance 9mm

I am in the process of purchasing a Para-Ordnance LTC Two tone in 9mm. Can anyone out there tell me what they know about this firearm? Opinions,experiences etc.

i asked about it awhlie back and got mixed reviews, people complained about the finish wearing off, repair and service issues with para and some other stuff too.... i still want one though

I haven't owned a LTC but I have had Para's in .45 and 9mm, LDA, SAO etc... I think overall they are very good guns. All have functioned quite well and were a pleasure to shoot (others experience my vary). My only complaint with the ones I have owned is with the finish especially on the newer guns (it tends to wear rather quickly). If I was to buy another Para it would be a stainless gun.

I've had my Para LTC in 9mm for two years now. I have put approx. 4500 rounds thru it and it has yet to let me down. Not a single stoppage in all that time. Mine has the covert black finish and I have to agree with everyone that the finish is garbage and it does not wear well. I am actually planning on stripping it and useing Armacoat when it starts to look really bad. Other than that it has a really nice smooth trigger and out of the box is very accurate. I would recommend one as a shooter but if you are looking for something to own for awhile and then resell it you might want to look at an STI in 9mm for better resale in the future.

I have one in .45 great gun ive ben trying to find one in 9mm hard to get. Just bought an STI Ranger II yesterday hope its just as nice.

Bomber, do you run your 9mm LTC with mags that have the plastic followers?

i've heard that guns with metal follows can damange the alloy (aluminum) frames...

The pistol came with 2 - 9 round mags with plastic followers....I also have 4 -Tripp Research 10 round mags with metal followers and I have seen no signs of damage to the frame at all and I have been running them since I got the pistol.

I had an LTC in 45. It was a good gun. I had the finish stripped though and reblued.

Since Szabo past away....I don't things have been better at Para.
My local dealer said out of all the reps....Para was the most difficult to deal with.
I've owned only 1 LDA .45 and 1 double stack 9. Sold them all.
Liked the LDA....didn't like the 18-9 at all....FTF and lousy mags....finish on the stainless was nice though.....but the black finish wore off fast on the LDA.

my advice....for that price range, I would look at STI Ranger II.
