Who sells 1911 frames?

Looking to start a 1911 build from scratch, not really interested in buying a norinco and then souping it up.

I know in the states there are many independent companies that sell their own frames, also just places in general that can supply a frame from certain manufacturer.

Any such source in canada?

Dlask arms has them. I have built about 5 or 6 on their frame. Latest build on a Dlask frame:

You can buy STI frames and slides from Armco and Freedom Ventures. I'm pretty sure that you can also order Caspian frames and slides up here but I can't remember where I saw them...

Brownells has them, if you do all the paperwork to get them in. They do come up on occasion on the EE, I have three I've picked up there in the last year or so. - dan

How much does a frame run? Does it come with all the milling done, or is it just a forging you have to do all the filing and such on?

Frames are 100% finished and registered. Final lapping for slide fit and maybe some small parts fitting req.

I was considering doing my own build on a Caspian Frame adn slide but could never find anyone who carried them. The paperwork and import fees made me think twice about ordering them in from the US.

I was very happy with my bare 1911 norc frame from marstar... ...no annoying "made in china" stamp. Think that they are out of stock at the moment.
