I would like to know who has a Savage 223 model 12 with a 1 in 9 twist with a load developed that works well and would'nt mind sharing it with me. I did alot of research here and only looking for the 1 in 9 twist recipe. Feel free to input and don't mean to sound rude inquiring about the specific 223 but there are many rates of twist out there along with many manufactures. Thanks for your interests in sharing ahead of time.

What weight of bullet do you want to shoot. Check over at accurate reloading . com, lots of help there. You'd get more help here if you offered up what kinds of powder you have, or what you wish to try and achieve?
You can still load
and accurately shoot lighter bullets in your rifle, 50, 55,or you can start of with 69 or 70gr bullets. FS
 
Bullets: 75 grain Hornady Vmax
Primers: CCI small benchrest
OAL: 2.5" (single feed, does not fit in mag)

25 grains of Varget or 24.5 grains of Benchmark. Very similar results in the two Savages I owned and both loads sub-moa at 1100 meters.
 
for my savage 1 in 9 twist I have bought Varget powder and berger VLD 70 gr match grade lead, also I have been reloading for a year or more but just for hunting/ not precision shooting on paper, usually just for 338 mag, 30-06,300 & 325 wsm, ect. Wanting to get tactical precise accuracy without spending alot of time and money trying to develope it on my own. Thanks for the replies to everyone for sharing your knowledge, ALSO what is the best primer as a owner of a hunting shop told me with W748 powder that he reloads his 223 with WLR primers cause it is a ball extruded powder that has a slow burn rate

Well he is right 748 is ball powder, but he's wrong it isn't a slow burner. I load a fair amount of it in 222,223,204 all with sm rifle primers. I get good ignition every time. FS

Where do you get 223 brass with a large primer pocket?
 
Benchmark powder has been the only kind I've used with 3 different rifles and it's been good to me.
