Yup...and by the crossed rifles on the top of the receiver knox form, it's a BSA production rifle. The real information will be on the butt socket under where the bolt handle hangs. That will tell you year of original production of the rifle, and will likely also have something like Mk IV* stamped on it. Magazine may also be stamped .22.

A shot of the butt socket markings and a full-length shot will provide more info.

Looks to be a .22 conversion of an SMLE, a Mk.IV. The "PARKERIFLED" stamp means the barrel was bored out, and had a .22 liner installed. Why did you white out the serial number? Is the rifle "hot"?

Ok all i can find on the stock is the one in the 5th picture up there so no more on the stock that i can find! It seems to be the oldest of the Proof Marks at 39 /\
next is the 41 in the 3rd pic!

Also no marking saying any Mk IV or anything like that anywere i have showed every marking now!

Looks like a commercial BSA made c1920s as a 22 then Parkerrifled to repair a rusted/damaged barrel. Two sets of proofs, one from the 1920-30s and second set under 1954 rules of proof when the Parkerrifeling was done.

I agree but I would say it was originally a comercial production 303 that was sleeved

Commercial models were simply marked; "B.S.A. Co." on the butt socket, and the BSA stacked rifles logo on the chamber. Not much else, usually not even a calibre marking.

Thank you Bushman that would help explain alot!! I was not aware that they didnt put model or Cal markings on all of them!! That just explained so much!!

So then it is most likley a BSA .303 that was made late 20s-30s and then Parkerfeld in 54 to a .22!

i am guessing the Parkerfelding to .22 would be for use as a Cadet Trainer most likley?
this is what the seller thougth it was, it has Numbers painted on the stock, (3) and somthing else that is painted on the other side that i canot see!

Thank you everyone for your time and help Any more info would be Awsome!

There are no .303" proofs on this arm but two sets of 22 proofs. In 1929 BSA listed brand new 22 SMLEs @ 10L-10S same price as a .303". Rifle made as 22 in 20-30s parkerrifled post 1954.
