I dont think anyone was using a muzzle brake last year and dont think they are allowed, correct me if I am wrong.
From BCTACTICALRIFLE.COM course of fire. I guess I was getting e and f confused. Well I know someone won't be happy when he has to take his break off an expensive rifle
e. Flash suppressors - limited to factory production rifles that are originally equipped with one.
f. Muzzle brakes - prohibited on all rifles due to safety concerns caused by positional shooting.
I hear you. I am going to be shooting my TRG 22 with a 20 " barrel this year. it shoots way better than I do. I am going to have to take my brake off and put the threaded cap on. Not a big deal as I take it off every now and then to clean it. Not a big issue with the Coyotes either.
There was a guy from south of the border shooting next to me that had a big ass flash suppressor and it was stock, looked and sounded like a muzzle break to me though.
I really need to remember to bring my own beverages to the bbq too.
That IS a muzzle brake that Stan had on his factory Savage BAS-K rifle, and they ARE noisy as brakes tend to be.
Personally I don't care if someone has a brake in use beside me or not as I always wear hearing protection at the range, but I DO think that the rules should state either brakes or suppressors are allowed regardless of whether they are factory installed OR ALL rifles used are to be WITHOUT brakes or suppressors.
I seriously doubt that Remington supplied the cans on the ERT guys rifles as they do not make suppressors, which ARE brakes that are just quiet.

I'm sure we could find you a rifle to borrow! No point in missing out altogether!
