Russian SKS45 long thread.

I dont wanna make smoke signals here but my glued in piece of tin was approved obviously 10 years ago and therefore it would stand to reason that it is still an acceptable method..if not then why is there not a massive recall?? like i say i dont wanna make smoke signals...also the VZ 58 has pop rivets on the mag..i gotta ask my buddy but i think his Yugo M59 had a pop rivet in the mag well?? i would rather see that... i am curious what if one of these cheap weld jobs give out?? am i allowed to glue in a piece of tin??
To me this 5 round thing is a joke...i thought it was only for hunting purposes. i mean a pistol can have 10 round mags..shot guns have stupid plugs that come out in about 15 seconds flat..what is the real reason behind this pinned mag deal anyway???????????

i never seen rivet used on the fixed mag before , i cant even imagine where it would be located for it to work.

yes, i have seen the weld give out but i wouldnt use epoxy glue without calling CFC .

lone-wolf I wished all the sks's were pinned in this way but unfortunately the majority were bastardized.

this is the only way to pin the mag..this is the YUGO SKS i bought about 10 years ago from Marstar..it is just a peice of tin glued in the mag well and it does not hurt any of the metal and it was legal at the time so it must still be legal? so we would assume?? i cant see why they cant do it like this now, when i got my first Rusky i thought this was what i was getting but nOOO...they got to find a new way F*&k the rifle up...

I think it's not a glue, but epoxy...

Here's a question: Is it possible to buy steel Norinco magazine covers pinned the good way without serial numbers, and just swap it out with my Russian Frankenpinned?

I dont really care that my rifle won't have a serial number on the mag but the horrendous paint chips and weld marks drive me nutz!

It's called the law.
Semi auto shotguns have a limited capacity of 5 as well.

And the plugs in shotguns are for hunting reasons. That's why they're easy to take out, when your using them the other 90% of the year.
If they didn't come with them, someone would be on here complaining that a dealer screwed them over by not having a plug come with it.
