One of the fellows I shoot with has a Savage 6BR and it shoots like a house on fire. I was so delighted to see a factory F-Class rifle - and done in a way that clearly works well!

How are you seating the Amax's in relation to the lands? Any idea of actual velocity? They clearly work well for you, but they were a bullet I never had much success with.

That was at 100m.
I loaded the Amax 8 thous into the land. Started with 28.5gr of Varget and work my way up to 31gr. Every load was shooting 1/2 moa except for 30.1 gr. That load give me the best group.
Took it out to 800m and she shot very good.

I haven't chrono that load yet.
I am guessing just over 2900 fps.
