Sorry for the poor pics, had to take some quick.
Thanks to West Rifle, they helped a lot with my order.
Glad I spent a few extra bucks, and got all matching ser#'s

Nice rifle, all cosmoed up and in need of a thorough cleaning. :d

Any plans on making it into a project rifle after cleaning it?

Understood.

Still nice seeing a refinished wooden SKS stock every now and then however.

I can see myself picking up a nugget to refinish, I've got a lot of time on my hands lately so i've been looking into cheap milsurp rifles that would be interesting to work on.

Awww, that's a very nice finish on that hardwood stock-please don't alter it other than giving it a good cleaning. I have a refurbed 1950 Tula with a laminated stock that I am contemplating stripping and refinishing; the "original" shellac is chipped to hell and looks really sloppy. Yours looks like it just came off the assembly line. I think the shellac looks a hell of a lot better on the hardwood stocks than it does on the lammies, my (unrefurbed) 1954 hardwood Tula is one of the best looking rifles in my collection.

Thank you Chriscris for purchasing from www.westrifle.com . Also thank you for spreading good word for us. Enjoy.

:) :dancingbanana::) :dancingbanana: :)

I think I'll keep this one stock, and grab a cheaper one to 'hot rod'

Sorry no Cosmoline. It is oiled up to protect the shine and metal parts. We cleaned all the Cosmoline off.

Ohh I remember your was with gold bayonet . Out of stupidity warehouse worker (Russia) tried to clean it out and cleaned the gold part. You have an excellent rifle in your possession
