CZ Shadow - .22 conversion worth it?

Those of you who have the Kadet conversion for your Shadow... do you like it? Does it perform for you?

I can't say I've shot the conversion but for the cost I'd rather just buy a dedicated .22.

Yeah it was pricey, but I gotta say I Like it. It has shot absolutely everything I fed it, as well.

The CZ kit is an outstanding piece of kit. Mine shoots every type of .22LR ammo I have fed it without complaint. Slide locks back everytime after last round fired. Very accurate. I use mine on both my Shadow and CZ 85 Combat. YOu do need a 15# mainspring minimum though. I found the 13# springs I usually run in my CZ's isn't strong enough to set off .22LR ammo all the time.

I found the same thing.

The accuracy and reliability is great on them. Better than any other .22 I've shot and it even feels like your holding a real gun. I shoot it less now that I reload though.

I am plagued with FTE issues with mine. Having difficulty finding a solution. Typically I have 1 FTE per mag, sometimes more. Very frustrating.

Anyone have a suggestion or a first hand solution?

What are you feeding it? Mine FTE's with federal bulk, but nothing else. Is the gun clean? especially around the ejector.

Great to read these posts,i really like my kit and it is very accurate.Only had it for a week and have had many failures to fire with about 10 kinds of 22 ammo.Will order a 15# mainspring in the morning!I was thinking that was the problem.Otherwise i'm impressed with the kit.

Where would one buy this conversion kit today and what are they going for?

Tried to get one off guns n things a while back but they keep closing up shop for extended holidays.
