What happened to Remington's MLR???

My brother got a 700P MLR just before christmas, and a box of Lapua 250gr Scenars to try it out with. Really works nice. I haven't shot anything with a break before this rifle, but I think the break works just fine. Recoil is tamed down to roughly below that of my 308 target rifle. Mag is pretty handy too.

He is now saving to get some nightforce glass for it, and a set of farrell rings. We just set it up with a 5-15x50 3200 bushnell, just to get it out and give it a whirl. The only thing is, at $7.50 a round, we were not to keen on just blasting away, so we only shot 4 rounds

Here is a snap of some video I took while he was shooting it, so it is a little grainy. And don't mind the table shot, I had just finished bore sighting the rifle from the kitchen table. Btw the old way of bore sighting without the fancy tools works great.

And if this works, their is a bit of video. Sorry for the clanking of the lens cover from the camera, it was a miserable day but that wasn't going to stop us from having some fun :D

You are getting RAPED on the ammo , we sell 338 Lapua ammo for $110.00 per box for Hornady or $135.00 per box for Lapua
To get the most out of the rifle you really should consider reloading.

Hey Rick got a question for ya. On the Hornady stuff you sell, how is the brass for reloading? Can you ship it to Edmonton fairly cheaply? Just put one of these on lay away today so now is the time to start gathering stuff for it.

The brass seems to be pretty good, consistant in weight and dimension, the ammo chronos very uniformly for velocity.
I can ship to Edmonton no problem

Question for "Alberta Tac Rifle" When you get the new MLR's in stock will you be carrying any spare mags? -- the five rounders look cool!

ATR, couldn't agree more about the price, but we only got a box of it just to try it out.

We handload for all our other stuff, just gotta cough up the cash to get a nice set of redding dies and the other stuff.

I learned something new about these rifles today that I thought i would pass along.
The Gen 2 rifles use mags that look like AI mags but in fact are a touch longer than the AI mags, which is both good and bad. good as you can seat bullets out a tad longer, bad as standard AI mags will not fit properly which means that for now we have to pay the price Remington demands for their spare mags.

Are these MLRS in the $1400 price range,, thought one was for sale in the EE for 13 something weimajack was selling???

YET, Got one from Wolverine for $1489, also P&D carry them for $1499. very nice rifle. You should get one JOES...Gen II
