Airgun scopes are designed to take recoil in both directions. Should work fine on a regular firearm.

If you seriously think a 43$ air rifle scope can handle the recoil of a centrefire rifle you must be smoking some good shette.

I think the thing is with Air Rifle scopes is that they take take the reverse recoil of the spring in the Air rifle.
I heard and again only heard that Leupold used to say all their scopes would stand up to Air rifles but now they dont back this statement.
So if the above is true there is obviuosly something different about an air rifle scope. I know I've tried some Bushnell rifle scopes on my X bow and they dont last long.
Not saying an Air rifle scopes is better but possibly not made the same.
Doesn't it depend upon the type of air gun you are using it on? Not all air guns are springers, with the reverse-recoil thing. Some have virtually no recoil.
