I can get this stuff by the case pretty easily, I am thinking of trying it in my Norc CQ.

It does have a mil spec rating for corrosion preventer and is also a lubricant.

It will probably work (synth motor oil works well). However you will be the test subject.

Slip 2000 is my short answer.

Penetrating oil makes for a bad gun lube ie; WD40

Oils suck all around, try one of jetlube's grease products. Personally I run their AP-5 grease without issue in everything.

Thanks for the opinions guys! The only AR recomended gun oil I have found semi localy is MILTEC but the overall opinion on it has not been great.

I will keep looking I think.

No, I have not tried it. The overall internet consenses is that it lubricates good but does not prevent corrosion very well.

It is easy for me to get, so I might just try it anyways.

Lots of guys use and like it, but it's not acceptable to the US Military: http://tinyurl.com/ykpav4e . I use something that is: Break-Free CLP. It's also widely available.

I have not been able to find CLP anywhere close to me. I am trying to find a local supply.

Are you putting your AR15 in war storage? lol

If your using the lube for shooting then Mil-tec is hard to beat

CLP works great. Army uses it. Screw buying it locally. Just buy some online!
Either on EE or one of the sponsored sites.
