Quick C&P

The Stgw.57

In 1957, the Schmidt-Rubin series was replaced by the Stgw 57. The Stgw.57 was a marvel of modern craftsmanship, and like it's pistol counterpart, the SIG210 , is widely considered to be the finest battlerifle ever constructed. Stgw.57's continued to be issued to Swiss Soldiers until 1990, when it was replaced by the Stg.90. Stgw.57s continue in service today, and are expected to do so for for the next several years.

Those fricking swiss. Take a closer look at the stgw 57 on google and youtube, built like an armoured watch. Search Sig or SG 510 as well, same thing unless I'm missing something.

Also, they're chambered in 7.5x55, one heck of a nice cartridge.

It's nice but...

I'm wondering...is it legal to sell it?...i'm thinking no..??...are replicas not on the "no can purchase,no can sell,no can import into Canada" list??

I have owned a MGC MP40 since the early 1970's and I was thinking about selling it along with a number of accessories...but I think I would end up with a visit from my local Police, if I sold it within Canada.

Try selling yours on ebay...just might get huge bucks for it..??

It's amazing what one can do when their country isn't invaded during both world wars and has all of Europe's Money. :D

I also have one of these, picked it up in Montana several years ago. The shop I got it from said it was a FN/FAL movie prop, the thousands of screaming extra's back from the camera didn't need real guns, just a look alike, cheaper and would pass at a distance.. Made sense to me..
