(On a lighter note) I swear - given Canada's multicultural nature, we should make amendments to the firearms act simply on the basis that guns are big part of Filipino culture...

I was going to slag him for clearing his gun in an unsafe fashion - but then his "Pilipeeno" accent won me over!

Also, anyone else notice how IPSC matches always seem to bring out the Flips?

Actually, it was done here too,

There was a vid posted about 6 months ago, guy had to grab and ammo can, slam a gun on top of an upright magazine, chamber and shoot, all with one hand. Pretty impressive either way.

What's he using there to rack the slide? Is it his chest? I watched it 3 times and I can't see what else it would be. Good technique! I've never seen it done that way before. I've seen it done off belts, holsters, shoes and everything else, but not the chest.

He's using rearward momentum of the slide as he quickly pushes forward (note how he pulls back, than pushes forward very quickly?).

I'm gonna have to practice that one. Do you need a lighter spring in the slide to do it? I only have a Glock 22 not 17 to try it with. There's no way my 1911 will do it with the pig of a spring in it.

it is a stunt, do not try this at your local club, as it could be very dangerous

really? how so?

watched JP do this when I was back in Montreal, managed to do it a few times with my Tanfoglio, but not consistent enough that I'd try it at a match. Got a G17 to do it too, but it was harder than my Stock II. Not unsafe in the least bit.

Very cool. Always love to see gun tricks.
As for being unsafe I don't see how. Finger out of the trigger guard and off the trigger with muzzle pointed downrange. Seems fine to me.

Tried it with some snap caps and my G22. Couldn't quite get it to chamber completely, but close. Tougher than it looks that's for sure.

could be that the guy changed the springs and/or stuck some heavy weights inside the slide to help with the momentum.

in any case - interesting, and cool... i s'pose.

you don't need to change the springs. you just need to get your arm moving backwards fast enough, and then snap it forward.
