Anyone try out the Rauch Tactical Flat Top yet?

Nobody but us had tried it.

The one you see was actually a botched production sample by the factory making them we used it cause the factory couldn't get us the proper version in time for SHOT. A functional one is being completed now and we expect it in a couple weeks, pending that one being good to go production delivery should be very shortly after.

Rauch:

How is the front part of the rail held in?

Can you show some pics ? How far does it flip back?

Also is the price right on the website?

See I was confused because it's already listed for sale on your site ;)

I almost bought one this morning before making this thread haha.

I love the top rail, any thought of having a version extending over the front upper grip? Or making a lower handguard version that is about the same length as the normal one (just looks like that would make it fairly front heavy)?

I second the idea of a rail going past the front handguard. Like the Krebs AK47 rail.

The reason we put a break in the continuity of the rail where the upper handguard goes is that we wanted a system that is easily clean/maintain and interferes as little as possible with the factory function of the rifle.

Easy to clean, return to zero and functional.

Can I continue to use the stocker butt stock and CZ folding stock with the flattop rail?

Short answer is no, the factory stock would be too low for comfortable use so we just made it work with the stock adapter and placed the stock higher.

Our stock adapter hinge system will work with this system though.
