Anyone try out the Rauch Tactical Flat Top yet?

I wish the top rail was continuous. Other then fast access to the piston I don't see any use of having it uncovered.

but that is good enough of a reason.. it would be a real b***ch... if you'd have to dismount everything before every cleaning...

The idea was to keep it simple and to float the quad rail. The factory gas system is left alone and you can clean the rifle without removing disturbing the railed handguards at all.

The actual production version is a bit different then what you see now, the top rail will extend further back.
 
So for $175 we are just talking about the upper rail and stock adaptor right?

I wish the top rail was extended all the way to the front. My pickyness is not helping.

I may be wrong, but if I'm going to field strip my CZ I would have to take the top rail off anyways, so it seems it really wouldn't make much of a difference.

Right. So extending the rail over the hand guard theoretically wouldn't make a difference in this case, which is why I was curious as to why Rauch didn't do this or come out with the option.

I think it is amazing that Rauch came out with the flat top, but IMHO it looks slightly awkward seeing the handguard sit so low compared to the rail leaving such a gap. Overall though, A+++

Correct if i'm wrong Rauch:

1-IF i look closely at the picture on your website,it looks as tho i could have your UPPER rail on my cz-858 and still being able to keep my NEA upper hand guard in front instead of the traditional upper hand guard,is that correct?

2-When i buy your upper for 175$,will i need to add any other components to make it fit with my FAB telescopic folding stock?

3-is it possible for me to mount your upper rail system on my weapon which has the NEA upper hand guard,the NEA lower hand guard and the FAB telescopic folding stock on at the moment?

The upper rail doesn't effect the hand guards so you can run what you like up front. For the time being only AR collapsible stocks will work with the adapter, any make is fine.
