Hi Guys,

I have just traded for a five inch Smith & Wesson .460 S&W revolver. :) No sooner did I close the deal but I went online and ordered a "Simply Rugged" Sourdough Pancake holster for it along with some IWB straps.

Should be fun to (imagine) carrying it in the bush next hunting season. ;)

I can't wait!!! :D :D :D

Jeff.

Pics of the 460V!

Here it is...along with a Rob Leahy Simply Rugged Sourdough pancake holster that was gifted to me as a "surprise" by the generous seller. ;)

How do you like that Holster? I bought 2 of them, one for my 460V and another for my JM327....can't draw out of either of them if they are on a belt.....the curve of the belt pulls the top of the holster tighter around the rear of the cylinder and locks the gun in place...secure, but useless. I wasn't impressed and am going to have them cut a little better once I get around to it.

Is yours the same way?

Nice gun by the way!!! I'm sure you'll enjoy it as I do mine!

I bought a Sourdough pancake to carry a 4" 629, and find the same thing.

Unless you have a 54" waist, the curve pulls the outside of the holster way too tight.

Before spring I'll wet it down and strap the holster with the pistol in it on and see if it will stretch out.

Whats a loaded X-frame weigh?
